The majority of visitors to Koh Phangan will start their journey from Bangkok. Regular daily flights depart from BKK Airport to neighbouring Koh Samui.

If travelling overland, from the North of Thailand, you will need to pass through Bangkok en route to the port of Chumphon to catch one of the numerous boat services.

From other Southern destinations, overland you will need to head for the port city of Surat Thani to catch one of the regular express boats or car ferries over to Koh Phangan.
